ASHP is currently recruiting for multiple lead surveyors.  The contract lead surveyor conducts residency and technician training program accreditation surveys for ASHP.

What You'll Be Doing

  1. Schedules and plans accreditation survey visits. Coordinates survey process for on-site and virtual reviews, including pre-survey preparation with the site and survey team.
  2. Writes accreditation survey reports and confidential page recommendations for the Commission on Credentialing.
  3. Contributes to the revision of pharmacy residency accreditation standards and regulations.
  4. Suggests improvements in accreditation procedures, processes and cost controls.
  5. Attend and participate in Commission on Credentialing (COC) meetings, ASHP's Midyear Clinical Meeting (“MCM”), and/or other meetings as requested by ASHP based upon its legitimate business need.
  6. Attend and participate in Lead Surveyor meetings as assigned to ensure consistency in interpretation and evaluation of residency accreditation standards.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned to meet optimal accreditation standards, pharmacy best practices, and maintain a positive, quality improvement-focused survey process at all times.

What You Bring to ASHP

  • Requires a minimum of a degree plus a working knowledge of the theories and practices of a relevant field or discipline in pharmacy, business or association management.
  • Licensed pharmacist.
  • Completed an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency or obtained an equivalent level of practical experience.
  • Advanced pharmacy degree preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of five years of prior related work experience.
  • Served as a pharmacy residency preceptor or residency program director of a program in good standing.
  • Served as a practitioner surveyor with completion of at least 2 surveys within the past 12 (twelve) months.
  • Established record of achievement in pharmacy practice preferred.
