The Vice President, Business Development and Strategy is responsible for leading ASHP's enterprise-wide revenue growth strategy, directing business-to-business sales, business development, corporate relations, licensing, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships. Identifies, evaluates, and prioritizes new growth opportunities, strategic alliances, partnerships, and innovative business models that advance ASHP's membership mission, expand its impact, and strengthen its long-term financial sustainability. Accountable for revenue targets and P&L performance across product and service lines and works with hospitals and health systems, as well as current and prospective business partners in the pharmaceutical industry, pharmacy technology, publishing/distribution, professional association, and government sectors, to develop high-impact, revenue-generating relationships. Collaborates closely with ASHP business units, pharmacist leaders, and clinical subject-matter experts to maximize revenue in support of the mission. This is a hybrid position that requires candidates to live in the Washington, DC area. Effective March 2027, ASHP is transitioning to a hybrid work model, which will require employees to work in our office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Successful candidates for this position must meet these requirements. At ASHP, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. The base salary for this position is $280,000-$330,000 and ASHP offers a comprehensive benefits plan. This salary range represents a reasonable estimate of the annual salary based on ASHP’s commitment to provide equitable and market-competitive pay. The actual salary offered will take into consideration many factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, educational background and licenses/certifications, skills and experience, internal pay equity, and other business and organizational needs.
